KHAYA LUVIVANE – Safari Bush Retreat

Khaya Luvivane is a beautiful self-catering retreat, situated close to the border of the Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga, South Africa.

There is quick access to the river with a 4 min drive where one can enjoy sundowners and observe stunning views of the Kruger and its animals that come to quench their thirst at the notorious Crocodile River.

Khaya Luvivane is homey and can accommodate 8 guests in 4 bedrooms en-suite.
This is not your average holiday destination, especially if you love animals and the outdoors!!

Bedrooms
– 2 bedrooms downstairs with queen beds
– 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds each upstairs. Every bedroom has its own entrance to a shared bathroom

The bedding is proudly from top-quality suppliers and adds a luxurious feel to a good night’s rest in the air-conditioned rooms.

Bathrooms
– 3 bathrooms, all with showers and one with a large bath.
The showers have been fitted with waterfall heads to freshen up.

Living area
– Great big windows in the open plan airconditioned kitchen, lounge and dining area, allow a lot of natural light and air. This creates an opportunity to view animals refreshing and drinking at the private water hole.

There is a dishwasher, bar fridge for drinks and water, an upright fridge/freezer for general foods and a chest freezer. This allows for longer stays and less hassle. The house is well furnished and has more than enough crockery and cutlery.

The dining table can seat 8 + and can be used for playing games on rainy days, or enjoying meals with family and friends.

When the African sun hammers down, one can take a dip into the splash pool that comfortably walks right off of the veranda/deck area. The pool overlooks the beautiful stand.

There is a large boma/braai area, where family and friends can enjoy bushveld fires together and just relax.

At dusk the scenery changes, the stars are just amazing! One can watch the moon rise and listen to all the nocturnal animals come alive.

After dark, owls and bushbabies come to play (they will keep you and especially the kids entertained for hours).

Night life like Lion, Hyena Jackal and plenty more call late into the night.

For those that like to go for walks during the day, there is plenty to see.
Bird watching can also be done right on the veranda, as we have plenty of feathered friends.

Beautiful trees tower over the grasslands which allow Kudu, Giraffe and Zebra to pop in quite often. Warthog, Mongoose as well as tiny Antelope come to visit often.

Fish Eagle and other magical birds call often in the peaceful and tranquil surroundings Khaya Luvivane has to offer.

The large 2097sm stand has been preserved with no alien plants, as we try to keep it as natural as possible

The house is private and one can relax without the noise of highway traffic and other disturbances.

Khaya Luvivane has a fitted alarm system that guests activate when leaving the retreat for a fun day out or walking.

There are shops close by, a water park with slides for the kids to enjoy, little eateries, restaurants, butchery and even a liquor store.

Everything you need is within the reserve, so no need to travel far distances for shopping.

Overall, this is an awesome destination where you can relax and just take a well-deserved break away from the City living in the great outdoors of Southern Africa.
